When the two songwriters Jan Grunfeld and Anna Maria Zinke along with Simon Evans on mini-drums as “Band im Aufbau” are on the road, not only the two singers alternate, but also Mars and Venus, Heaven and Hell, melancholy and irony – happy lifted in a moment, in other deep in the valley of tears.
The “Band im Aufbau” celebrates the principle of variety. In German / English songs and minimal acoustic cast the songs of Anna and Jan develop two views of a world that is ever leaves a lie to the left, but full of optimism.
